EmberSol delivered a comprehensive multi-measure retrofit programme across 53 properties for Bromford Housing Association, operating as a specialist subcontractor under Rubik Builders within the Wates SHDF framework. Works spanned three distinct geographical areas — Gloucestershire, Bristol, and Lichfield — requiring careful logistics coordination and consistent quality standards across all sites.
The programme involved five distinct insulation measures: Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) using mineral wool between timber frame studs, Room-in-Roof insulation to thermally upgrade previously uninsulated loft conversions, Skeiling insulation to treat sloped ceiling sections at eaves level, Pitched Roof insulation, and Flat Roof insulation using PIR boards with EPDM membrane finish.
All works were completed to PAS 2030:2019 and PAS 2035:2023 standards, with full Retrofit Coordinator oversight and compliance documentation provided throughout. The programme delivered significant improvements to EPC ratings across the portfolio, contributing to Bromford's decarbonisation targets under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund.
